If you don’t know what the correct order for the Runeword is, look it up on Google and click the link to go to the Diablo 2 wiki where all items in the game as well as all Runewords are listed with all the information needed on all the items. When you have made sure you are using a gray text item that has the correct number of sockets, put the runes in, in the correct order. If the text color isn’t gray, you cannot make Runewords in it. If you put an Ort Rune followed by a Sol Rune into a 2 open-socket helm, that only has 2 sockets, no extras, making sure it’s not a magic or rare item with sockets from the mechanics modifier, you get the Runeword Lore.
