Step 1: Download Optifine Start by downloading the appropriate version of OptiFine for your version of Minecraft from this link. In your Minecraft Launcher, a new profile will be added named OptiFine you will want to use this profile in order for Optifine to work. Select Install in the window that pops up. If the download link doesn’t work, you can click on the (Mirror) link to get an alternate download link. Here, find and open the Minecraft 1.19 section and click on the Download button. Note: The version of Optifine you want to use is Optifine 1.13.2 HD U F5, this is the version is the one that will be downloaded from the above link, for other versions look at OptiFine's download website First, open the downloads page of OptiFine that lists all versions of OptiFine in reverse chronological order. Note: this procedure can be applied to any version of OptiFine and Minecraft, we are using Minecraft 1.13.2 as an example. Make sure the forge profile is selected and press Play.
Open Minecraft, run it from the forge profile if you want to run optifine through the Forge. Optifine is frequently used to help increase the performance of Minecraft on some computers, this allows you to get smoother gameplay with less lag. Mac: Click Right of the mouse any space inside the folder, then File and then New Folder, type the word mods and click Enter.
